The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region extends over the Massif Central in the west and the Alps mountain range in the east. The latter offers a profusion of hikes that will delight the hiker in search of breathtaking landscapes. Among the most notable massifs in the Alps, we can mention in particular the Mont-Blanc massif in Haute-Savoie, a land of mountaineering par excellence, the Chartreuse massif and its limestone mountains, or the Beaufortain massif surrounded by the Bauges and Aravis.

The Semnoz is a very easy stroll in the summer since the road goes practically to the summit. Destined for children, the ascent is very short from the parking lot at the top of Crêt de Châtillon. The panoramic view offered at the viewpoint indicator is majestic, and, undoubtedly, is one of the most
