Its rocks are mainly composed of limestone. The shape of the massif is very recognizable from La Clusaz because of its many north-facing combes. These are very popular with skiers in the winter and hikers once the summer comes.\r\n<h3>Hikes for all tastes<\/h3>\r\nRising to 2750 m at the top of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.randos-montblanc.com\/en\/very-hard-hikes\/pointe-percee.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pointe Perc\u00e9e<\/a>, the Aravis are home to many treasures of fauna and flora that will delight hikers, especially the youngest ones. The hikes I suggest in the area are quite difficult on average. I am referring in particular to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.randos-montblanc.com\/en\/hard-hikes\/pointe-lac-de-tardevant.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lac and Pointe de Tardevant<\/a> or the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.randos-montblanc.com\/en\/hard-hikes\/tete-pelouse.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">T\u00eate Pelouse<\/a>. However, several summits remain accessible to beginners, such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.randos-montblanc.com\/en\/easy-hikes\/danay.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">T\u00eate du Danay<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.randos-montblanc.com\/en\/intermediate-hikes\/lac-charvin.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lac du Mont Charvin<\/a>.\r\n<h3>Also in winter!<\/h3>\r\nA snowshoeing outing is also an opportunity to discover the massif in new colours. In winter, I mainly recommend hiking to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.randos-montblanc.com\/en\/intermediate-hikes\/praz-vechin-col-arpettaz.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Col de l'Arpettaz<\/a>. Aravis are also famous for their local products such as reblochon or <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Diot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">diots<\/a>, but also for culinary specialities such as the famous tartiflette, which is very popular in winter.\r\n\r\nYou will find below a selection of hiking routes that I have been able to do in the Aravis.
