Although of low altitude, its location offers a panorama on Lake Geneva on one side, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.randos-montblanc.com\/en\/hard-hikes\/oche.html\">Dent d\u2019Oche<\/a> and all the summits of Chablais on the other. The well-marked trail is accessible to all. However, a steep passage equipped with chains and a cable requires attention during both the ascent and the descent. In the center of Bellevaux, turn right towards the \u201cBossons\u201d and then follow the direction of \u201cBuchille\u201d after crossing a small bridge.<br \/>\nContinue the forest road to the terminus of the Chalets de la Buchille.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GPS Coordinates (WGS 84) of the Starting Point<\/strong>: 46.278917, 6.574195<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Ascent<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p class=\"first-child\">From La Buchille, turn left onto the paved road to the Chalets du Pertuis. The footpath goes up slowly and runs along the mountain pastures at the foot of Mont Billiat on the right. Arrived at the Chalets du Pertuis, the view overlooking the Rochers du Jotty and T\u00eate Blanche is impressive.<br \/>\nWith <a href=\"http:\/\/www.randos-montblanc.com\/en\/easy-hikes\/grande-pointe-journees.html\">Grande Pointe des Journ\u00e9es<\/a> on the left, the climb continues along the relatively steep path that runs to the right following the fence. The&nbsp;route becomes steeper as it bypasses the very steep face of Mont Billiat. A short passage equipped with chains and cables allows proceeding on the sloping trail.<br \/>\nThe crest is now in sight, and a fork on the left leads naturally to the summit of Mont Billiat.<br \/>\nBe careful in the last few meters: the well-marked and safe hiking track can impress the hikers, but it is quite accessible, and it would be a pity to deprive yourself of the magnificent panorama on Lake Geneva and the surrounding peaks.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Descent<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p class=\"first-child\">Take the same pathway as described above.<br \/>\nIt is possible to reach La Buchille by following the ridges of Mont Billiat to the left.
