The place is very busy in the summer, and the contrast with the serenity of the ascent is striking.<br \/>\nContinue in the direction of the Plan de l\u2019Aiguille by the Signal de Forbes.<br \/>\nThe climb is steep and the effort significant on the short switchbacks that rise rapidly above the H\u00f4tel du Montenvers.<br \/>\nAt the Signal de Forbes, the landscape is magnificent: all the peaks of the Mont Blanc Massif are within sight. A pair of binoculars will help follow the many ropes on the Mer de Glace and the mountaineers&nbsp;on the Drus or Aiguille de Blaiti\u00e8re.<br \/>\nIn your back, it is the whole Balcon Sud that takes place in front of you: Br\u00e9vent, Fl\u00e9g\u00e8re, Aiguilles Rouges, and to the extremes, the Aravis range and the dam of Emosson.<br \/>\nAfter this welcome break, take the track and continue almost flat until a passage of short switchbacks that cause a rapid loss of altitude.<br \/>\nThe itinerary leads you into this fairytale scenery in the direction of the arrival of the cable car of the Plan de l\u2019Aiguille, the intermediate station to the ascent to Aiguille du Midi.<br \/>\nThe ground, until then rather dry, approaches a wetter area describing many meanders due to snowmelt.<br \/>\nA final climb reaches the refreshment bar of the Plan de l\u2019Aiguille at the foot of Aiguille du Gr\u00e9pon and Grand Charmoz.<br \/>\nA trail leading to the right of the chalet allows getting in fifteen minutes to the beautiful Lac Bleu at the end of the Balcon Nord.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Descent<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p class=\"first-child\">Head for Chalet du Plan de l\u2019Aiguille and the sign indicating, \u201cRetour Chamonix.\u201d<br \/>\nAfter a few short switchbacks, the Hotel-Chalet of Plan de l\u2019Aiguille appears. Once arrived there, take the road on the right in the direction of Blaiti\u00e8re.<br \/>\nContinue and follow the direction of \u201cTr\u00e9 le rocher. \u201d The relatively steep but safe trail quickly loses height and enters the forest that you ascend by a succession of switchbacks.<br \/>\nAlways follow the direction of the car park of Montenvers.
