Surrounded by Dents Blanches, this lake offers a magical spectacle on the rare summits of more than 3000 m of the department accessible without mountaineering technique, namely <a href=\"http:\/\/www.randos-montblanc.com\/en\/very-hard-hikes\/buet.html\">Mont <\/a>Buet, the Ruan, and Pic de Tenneverge.<br \/>\nTo reach it you have to get through the picturesque Cirque du Fer-\u00e0-Cheval and its many torrents, most of which are dry in the summer.<br \/>\nThis hike is&nbsp;tough because of its steep slope, but above all its length (9.8 km * 2), more than half of which is on a corrie from the car park to Bout du Monde, which can be challenging when going back to the parking lot.<br \/>\nNote that the walk can be done by the Pas du Boret: however, this variant is dangerous and vertiginous.<br \/>\n<script async=\"\" src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><\/span><\/p>\n<p><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3567350517589380\" data-ad-slot=\"5784331615\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Difficulty<\/strong>: Hard <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"32\" height=\"37\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-710\" src=\"http:\/\/www.randos-montblanc.com\/images\/bouton\/hiking-icon-difficile.png\" alt=\"hiking-icon-moyen\"\/><\/li>\n<li><b>Altitude<\/b>: 2,001 m<\/li>\n<li><b>Ascent<\/b>: 3 hours 50 min<\/li>\n<li><b>Descent<\/b>: 2 hours 40 min<\/li>\n<li><strong>Elevation Gain<\/strong>: 1,300 meters<\/li>\n<li><strong>Round-trip<\/strong>: 19.7 km<\/li>\n<li><strong>Map<\/strong>: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.randos-montblanc.com\/images\/ign\/ign-vogealle.jpg\" onclick=\"return popitup(this.href, 1100, 225);\" class=\"simple_popup_link \">&lt;b&gt;IGN 3530 ET&lt;\/b&gt;<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Restrictions<\/strong> : Dogs (even on a leash) and gathering prohibited. Bivouac allowed between 7 p.m. and 9 a.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h4><strong>Getting There<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p class=\"first-child\">From Samo\u00ebns, follow the direction of Sixt-Fer-\u00e0-Cheval and park at the end of the road, in the parking lot of the reserve.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GPS Coordinates (WGS 84) of the Starting Point<\/strong>: 46.078123, 6.840470<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Ascent<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p class=\"first-child\">From the car park, follow the well-signposted flat track \u201cRefuge de la Vogealle\u201d taking you to \u201cFond de la Combe\u201d and then \u201cBout du Monde.\u201d<br \/>\nAfter this warm-up of more than an hour, the path will rise moderately in the forest and cross a series of dry torrents according to the season to get to the Chalet du Boret.<br \/>\nFrom there, the ascent becomes more regular. Continue on the trail which now rises in the meadow and, after a flat portion at the \u201cPierre du Dard,\u201d goes up in a rocky chaos.
