At the entrance of Bernex, turn left towards \u201cCreusaz.\u201d Park the car in the parking lot.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GPS Coordinates (WGS 84) of the Starting Point<\/strong>: 46.369899, 6.688968<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Ascent (via the Ladder)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p class=\"first-child\">The path begins on the right-hand side of the parking lot. After a slight climb, the pathway curves downhill and then goes straight up to a junction where you have to move to the left in the direction of the cliff. After climbing a few blocks, the ladder appears at the foot of the cliff. This is the only real difficulty to overcome; There is no risk since the ladder is very well fixed with metal bars of excellent adhesion. After a short slope, you arrive at the Col du Pertuis. A sign indicates the Pic des M\u00e9mises which is reached in thirty minutes following the crest line. Along the trail, you will discover Lake Geneva, the Chablais, as well as the Jura Massif.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Alternative Route (no Ladder)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p class=\"first-child\">This route avoids the passage of the ladder. From the parking, take the rather steep path on the left going to \u201cPic des M\u00e9mises &#8211; Col du Pertuis.\u201d After about ten minutes, you arrive at an intersection; Leave the footpath on the right and continue the one that gets into the forest. Later, the trail leaves the wood to climb the cliff to the Col du Pertuis where you reach the ladder path. Proceed until Pic des M\u00e9mises.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Descent<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p class=\"first-child\">Continue on the ridge until the arrival station of the chairlift where you will turn left on the ski slope towards Thollon les M\u00e9mises. This pathway descends quite steeply in the direction of the alpine pastures up to a fork where you have to turn the left towards the \u201cBois de la Corne.\u201d The path follows the cliffs of the M\u00e9mises. Overtake a drinking trough that allows refilling the flask.
