Less frequented than the popular Lac Blanc below, the Lac de la Pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance is nonetheless a choice destination thanks to the setting it offers.<\/p>\n<p>The itinerary follows the one for the Lac Blanc via the Col des Montets and then follows a stony and somewhat steep path to reach the Lac de la Pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Difficulty<\/strong>: Hard <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"32\" height=\"37\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-710\" src=\"https:\/\/www.randos-montblanc.com\/images\/bouton\/hiking-icon-difficile.png\" alt=\"hiking-icon-difficile\"\/><\/li>\n<li><b>Altitude<\/b>: 2,466 m<\/li>\n<li><b>Ascent<\/b>: 3 hours 25 min<\/li>\n<li><b>Descent<\/b>: 2 hours 20 min<\/li>\n<li><strong>Elevation Gain<\/strong>: 1,245 meters<\/li>\n<li><strong>Round-trip<\/strong>: 12.6 km<\/li>\n<li><strong>Map<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wikiloc.com\/hiking-trails\/lac-de-la-perseverance-82322986\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>IGN 3531 OT<\/b><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h4><strong>Getting There<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Join Chamonix, then follow the direction of Argenti\u00e8re. After passing Argenti\u00e8re, continue on the N506 road to park at the Col des Montets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GPS Coordinates (WGS 84) of the Starting Point<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/GLkHfcVyrkQgmcXBA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">46.003797, 6.923705<\/a><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Ascent<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Follow the route <a href=\"http:\/\/www.randos-montblanc.com\/en\/hard-hikes\/lac-blanc-montets.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">described for the ascent to Lac Blanc from the Col des Montets<\/a>. Once you arrive at Lac Blanc, go towards &#8220;Lac de la Pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance &#8211; 0 h 40&#8221; as indicated by the sign. The path goes along the Lac Blanc on the right and rises quickly. You then reach a nice viewpoint over the entire Lac Blanc. Continue further on the steeper, rocky path. Then you cross a small scree that leads to a late nev\u00e9 (present on 18 August 2021). This must be crossed carefully, taking care to anchor the heels so as not to slip. After a short ascent, we arrive at the Lac de la Pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance at the foot of the Aiguilles Rouges.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Descent<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The descent is made by the same route.
