The Bourgeoise and the Col de Joux Plane
Nestled in the Samoëns Valley and overlooking the Col de Joux Plane, the Bourgeoise can be the object of a short family stroll both in winter and summer. The route leads effortlessly to the top of the Bourgeoise with a beautiful panorama on all the Massifs of Haute-Savoie and goes down to reach Joux Plane Lake and Col de Joux Plane.

From Samoëns, take the direction of Col de Joux Plane. Follow the road almost to the top of the pass. The start of the hike is located on the right of the road at the contour line 1627 m.
A small clearance allows parking five or six cars: beyond, it is necessary to continue and to park at Col de Joux Plane.

From the start, take the path climbing quite frankly on the right of the paved road. After this short steep climb, the trail becomes quite regular up to an intersection allowing to reach Pointe de Chamossière. The summit is reached after a last effort where one can contemplate the beautiful panorama offered to the hiker.
Go down again at the crossing mentioned above and follow the path along the slope of Pointe de Chamossière (on the right of the track taken at the beginning) to the Joux Plane ski resort. Once arrived at the ski resort, continue to reach the Col de Joux Plane located just opposite; The pass is reached without difficulty after a short steep ascent. Go down again following the path on the right of the frozen lake, then take the road to get to the parking lot.
